New Life!

We experience life as an ever changing flow of events, people, friendships and relationships. Some are brief experiences or encounters. Some profound. And some occur without our conscious awareness. I thank all of you who have been part of our family over the last five years, and will share with you changes that are occuring in the evolution of my practice.

Closing Time
A new beginning

Dynamic Pathways is moving. This is a time of happiness and sadness. It is a time of joy and excitement.

We are ever growing and evolving beings. It is always so easy to attach to something we like, or someone we care for and try to hold on to what we would like to last forever. We invest our time and energy into something and don't want to let it go. Everything in this material world is progressing toward its eventual ending. Our greatest task is to learn to be in the now. To enjoy the person, or the event, in the present moment, for we have no idea what change the future will hold.

Green Day's song, Closing Time, has a lyric that says, "Every new beginning is another new beginning's end" You have heard the wisdom that with every door that closes, another door opens. Many times that is hard to believe, and even harder to experience.

We have had excellent practitioners and many wonderful clients pass through our doors over the last three and a half years, and we look forward to what the coming years will bring.

Why is Change Painful?

The pain related to changes in our lives usually results from unmet expectations and attachments. We are hurt or sad because something didn't happen as we expected it or planned it. We want it our way, or it isn't right. Learning to accept people, situations and events for what they are rather than for what we expect them to be allows us to enjoy it more fully and be present to what is rather than worrying about what should be.

Often we have invested so much time and energy - or money - into something that we don't want to let it go, even if it hasn't come to a fruition as we had hoped. Dynamic Pathways Wellness Center in its first incarnation touched many lives in very positive ways and we are all grateful for everything that we accomplished. Our first office allowed all of us to examine how we would like our practices to manifest and grow, and where we want to be in the world. That examination drew us in many different directions. It was time to let it go.

With all endings come new beginnings. We have a smaller office, but an office arranged and decorated exactly as we would like it to be. We have new providers with new energies and new directions and we all look forward to finding where our path will lead.

Our New Office
99 East Virginia #170
autumn

We are officially moving October first. Our new office is just down the block from the old office. We are on the other side of Third Street, between Third Street and Central. Still on the south side of the street.

Everything about the new office looks great - the flooring, the paint colors, the windows, the lighting. We will have an open house toward the end of October. Be watching for an evite.

Watch for the photo page on our website.

As the office is shifting, so are the people involved with it. Janice has relocated her practice to North Scottsdale. Nathan has relocated to Ahwatukee. If you would like their current contact information, please contact me and I will send it to you.

Salvatore Candeloro will continue to work with me doing deep tissue, neuromuscular realignment. Vivian Schwabish brings her personal and family counselling practice to join us. We may have up to three other practioners joining us as well. Watch for bios and more info next month.

Unembarrassed Politicking

There is presently an Arizona law defining marriage as one man, one woman, which has been tested all the way to the Arizona supreme court. Two years ago we defeated an amendment to the Arizona constitution defining marriage as one man, one woman.

Five times in this year's legislative session our lawmakers debated another marriage amendment, while the couldn't decide on a budget shortfall, immigration issues, or funds to support infrastructure or education. The forces pushing this amendment couldn't get the signatures they needed to get it on the ballot the way all other measures get on the ballot. They used underhanded tactics to push it through the legislature.

SEND THEM A MESSAGE! Tell them you knew what you were doing two years ago when we voted against it. Vote no on this amendment. Tell them to pay attention to the issues of true significance to us all. And if you are moved, please contribute to

AZtogether.org so we can get this message out to all the voters.

At Dynamic Pathways Wellness Center we know that your life will go in the direction you point your energy.

When your time and mind are focused on the things you truly desire your heart will have no choice but to make those things appear in your life.

Do not be distracted by the obstacles to your heart's desires. Maintain the quality and quantity of your attention on your true goals.

Be well until our next visit
